Learning in my room is very active. My students work in hands-on ways that allow them to interact with the world around them. With that, collaboration in my classroom is key. Students learn from each other in ways the teacher can't provide.The tables I am requesting would allow students to do this. My students have a love for learning and helping their peers learn too. They are naturally curious and like working with each other in order to achieve a common goal. Our school is geared towards student learning and the staff does all that it can to make sure each child is successful. We are a small school located in Northern Minnesota. We have approximately 600 students K-6, funding in our district is quite slim! Our students are well acquainted with the extremes of winter in Minnesota!
My Project
These materials will make a difference in allowing my students to have proper space to write. My students work in centers around our classroom and are in need of updated seating and table options. This project would allow my students to have proper seating. While they write stories, build math problems, and work hard on applications. These materials would create the space for them to work on nice hard surfaces to support their learning. We would greatly appreciate your support. They will be able to get help in Mathematics by having this funded.
Tables will provide a more unified feel to the room as well as a stronger invitation for collaboration.
One of the goals in my room is to give students opportunities to use critical thinking skills and by sitting at a table, they can work together and learn from each other. We can't wait for our tables and we hope our order is filled.
