My students need a whiteboard table to add to our flexible seating choices. A table makes a good space for collaborating, plus the whiteboard top makes ideas flow faster!
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our school is a designated Title I school located on the south-side of Atlanta. I teach reading, language arts, and social studies to over fifty enthusiastic fourth and fifth graders. Many of my students come to school eager and ready to learn, while others need a little help getting motivated. We work as a team to help each student achieve his or her goals. A win for one is a win for all. We believe in success for each child, and we love to celebrate those successes!
My Project
Flexible seating brings collaboration and a sense of community into our classroom. Adding a whiteboard table will create a work space that encourages students to work together more easily than traditional desk seating.
Collaboration is such a big part of learning!
By incorporating this table into our flexible seating options, students will be able to work together easily. The dry erase board feature on top will allow students to brainstorm and share ideas quickly. Students can share their thoughts or work out solutions by simply writing on the table top. This table would be a great asset to our flexible seating options!
