This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in a 1st grade classroom of 24 students. My students come from diverse ethnic backgrounds. I also have students with lifelong disabilities and special needs. My students are very excited to learn new things daily and are always willing to work hard. They work interactively in groups throughout the day on various learning concepts.

I am very lucky and thankful to get to work with such amazing students.

I just need help giving them the best learning environment I possibly can!

My Project

New tables would enhance the learning environment in my classroom! We work in groups daily and these tables would give them the opportunity to work collaboratively with one another and build a better sense of community in the classroom!

I am asking for 4 new rectangular tables.

We currently have desks in our classroom that are all different heights, wobbly, and even damaged. They do not create a welcoming, clutter-free environment for my students. Having visually impaired students in my classroom makes having a clutter-free space very important and with 24 desks it makes it hard to get around.

These tables would make my classroom much more accessible as well as benefit my students tremendously. I can’t wait to see all the amazing things that my students will accomplish on these new tables in our classroom!
