TABLE This: Creating a Collaborative Classroom
Help me give my students sturdy tables to collaborate and work together on projects and activities.
We are from a small town in North Carolina. My third graders love learning and enjoy working in small groups to support each other! They are kind and helpful to each other and their teachers.
My students are so energetic and excited to learn with their peers.
They are full of kindness, generosity, and love. They strive every day to do their very best. Every child comes in each day with a smile and brings a happy presence into the classroom. They are truly amazing to be with!
My students are engaged in many collaborative learning experiences in my classroom. Having tables in the room would improve the collaborative nature that is so important to encourage in young learners. Currently, we have mismatched desks that do not fit together nicely to make tables, so students are continuously losing important learning tools through the cracks between their desks. This takes away valuable learning time when we are having to stop to find things we have dropped on the floor.
My students will be much happier with the addition of these four tables.
Productivity will increase, which will greatly benefit our class and our work products. We will have plenty of space to be able to work collaboratively, with partners and in groups, with no problem. Thank you for helping my students become better collaborators!
