My students have special needs. Their disabilities and needs are unique to each child. I have the wonderful opportunity to teach students with Autism, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, Learning Disabilities and more. Despite their many challenges, my students are very excited to learn new things every day.
I teach at a Title I school in Utah where a high percent of our students receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students receive backpack food on the weekends, and our school also runs a food pantry for our families. Despite hardships in their lives, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school and to be successful.
My Project
We like to use our tables to write on while we are working in the classroom. Our school is over 50 years old, and the furniture may be too. We have used our tables so much that the tops are very worn out and the marker is bleeding into the wood.
These whiteboard tables would make it better access for hands on learning for all my special needs students.
They can be used over and over again and hopefully will last another 50 years.
Thanks for considering helping with our project to make our classroom more effective and a better place to be.
