Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach Pre-K in a culturally diverse elementary school. I have students that come from Mexico, Japan, Korea, China, and Argentina. My experience is very rewarding along with its many challenges. I get to teach the younger students on our campus making their first year in a public school one to remember.
They are tiny and eager to learn and please us with their individual work.
They love to read, write, draw, make friends and explore what we have to offer in the classroom. I try my best to make every single day meaningful.
I praise them for every challenge and accomplishment they succeed in or for simply trying their best.
My Project
Currently, we need a table for our classroom where I am able to set a Math Center where students may work in comfort knowing the table is a good size to work on. Currently some of the activities I plan to use the table are done on the floor. Students would benefit greatly from this addition. They would be able to work on their Math Stews with another classmate. Also, I have many activities planned out that include working on counting, matching, sorting, making patterns, adding and subtracting. Students will work together problem solving and working on their social skills. It would become an integral part of our classroom. Please consider donating to this worthy project. Thank you for viewing my project.
