My students need a table and chairs sized for them so they can engage in pretend play which aides in their development of the child's cognitive and social development.

My Students

I am the proud new teacher of a preschool classroom in rural Minnesota. My students are comprised of various economic backgrounds, and I teach in a Parent Aware school. As a preschool teacher, I want my students to have all the opportunities possible to enhance their learning experience and promote a positive learning environment. Through this project, I will be able to provide enhanced learning opportunities through the use of dramatic play within the classroom environment, which encourages peer interactions.

My Project

I am seeking a toddler-sized table and chairs to aide in my students' curiosity and exploration during imaginary play time within the classroom. The table and chairs will serve as the "dining room table" located in the kitchen area of the classroom.

The students will then be able to play house, and practice life skills of setting the table, serving the food, and eating as a family, and clearing the table and pretending to do the dishes.

The reusable dry erase folders will be used as menus, grocery lists, and many other items as needed for the imaginary play area.
