Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My second-grade classroom is a room full of fun and kind students. The students range in age from seven to eight years old. My school is located in Nevada in a very high-need community. Our school is a STEAM academy elementary school where students love to invent, explore, and be creative. They have a real joy for learning. The students love to come to school every day eager to learn. I love to watch them grow and succeed in the classroom.
My Project
My students need a large group kidney table that will support our reading groups. The table would give my students an opportunity to work in a small group setting. Having a kidney table in the classroom would help my current students and students to come.

A new kidney table will provide many opportunities for growth and exploration. The kidney table will allow me to give more personalized instruction time with my students. Above all the kidney table will be beneficial for my students in reading, writing, math and science.
