Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

When you think of a group of children who create an atmosphere where the adults just want to be in THEIR presence is how I would characterize my cheerleaders. They're smart, witty, courageous, humble, and thoughtful. They encourage each other to reach new heights which in turn pushes me to work harder for them. They encourage me to give them the very best and they most definitely show me their best in their actions and deeds.

My Project

The items will make a tremendous difference in how the cheerleaders interact with the crowd during halftime and while the game is occurring. The heating press is very much needed because the cheer team can create their own t-shirts without paying over $20 per t-shirt from other vendors.

The cheer team will have the opportunity to bond and grow as they design and create the t-shirts together and a squad.

The cheerleaders will also have the opportunity to use the heating press as a possible fundraiser for school events.

The snacks are needed for the cheer team for after-school practices. Many of the girls live at least 20 minutes away from the school and the snacks are much-needed fuel for rejuvenating them before going home.
