My Students

Students come from all over the county to attend our school of the arts. The students are offered band, dance, piano, strings, theater, visual, arts, and vocal music. As one of the physical education teachers, my colleague and I are excited to be in our new school facility. Most importantly, we are working hard to continue to provide our students with an amazing curriculum, in which the students have not experienced in previous grades.

A lot of students have never held a golf club before and have never experience playing the game of golf.

We look forward to the students receiving the equipment that is designed to promote fun, challenging, and age-appropriate lessons. The students need and want structure through guided instruction from passionate teachers. What makes the students special is their eagerness to learn.

My Project

When the students participate in The First Tee curriculum they will be introduced to the nine core values (honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgement). These core values will be incorporated within the lessons and this will assist with building the students' confidence as they learn the rules of the game of golf. The First Tee does not only provide golf equipment, but they also provide a curriculum that teaches a range of valuable life and leadership lessons.

The equipment consists of over-sized clubs, tennis-style balls, and a variety of targets.

The Equipment utilized is modified and developmentally-appropriate golf equipment. The clubs are replicas of two basic traditional golf clubs (putter and wedge). The equipment is intentionally designed to promote fun and challenges that lead to learning and increased success!
