I need professional development books to provide my students with engaging and interactive learning opportunities.
This project expired on September 9, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Diverse, inspiring, passionate, kind, supportive, rigorous, these words immediately come to mind when describing my students. My school is a Title I school and all of my students are on free or reduced lunch, but their socioeconomic status does not define them. As their teacher, I have three goals in mind for my students.
I want to foster a love of learning, build a sense of community, and to give them tools in order to be successful.
"A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning." -Brad Henry
I will use these books to enhance my classroom instruction. The lessons and strategies in these texts will provide me with essential information to help my students reach their full potential. I want all of my students to grow and be successful. Students learn best when they are engaged in their learning.
"Education is the key to success in life and teachers make a lasting impact in the lives of their students."
I want to set a school/class culture for learning where students are engaged and excited to learn new literacy skills. These materials will help create a strong community of readers through student engagement and peer collaboration.
I am confident that the knowledge I will gain from these texts will help me to become an even more effective teacher. Your generous donation will directly impact my student's lives forever.
