My students need sports apparel to wear like sweatpants, socks, hats, and headbands when they are playing tennis. They also need Gatorade to drink during practices and matches.
My students are all English language learners who work hard and try their best. They are very motivated to learn and love to be active and try new things. One hundred percent of the students I teach live in poverty. Oftentimes my students will not have the same experiences or opportunities as their English-speaking peers. My students would love to have more opportunities to learn and grow.
My students are hard workers, yet face daily challenges of having limited resources readily available.
I want to do all I can to provide new experiences to my students.
My Project
Our tennis team would love to have our very own set of sweatpants and athletic socks to serve as our uniform for practices and matches. Our tennis team would also benefit from Gatorade drinks for use during practices and games.
The students on the tennis team would love to have a new pair of sweatpants, socks, and a hat or headband, to call their own so that they can look and feel like athletes.
Players on the team will feel special that they have their own pair of sweatpants and athletic socks. They will have the ability to move around more easily on the court and be comfortable. It is difficult for my students' families to supply the money needed for pants, socks, hats, headbands, and healthy drinks. I want my students to be healthy and prepared to participate in a fun, physical sport with their friends.
