Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My special education classroom needs help to refurbish our inside recess activities. During cold weather in Nebraska, others may just show movies or play in the gym but this does not always work for mine.

My students are special!

They are all special needs students with a range of disabilities. Some of the students struggle to self-regulate as others are willing to PLAY with new and exciting toys. The body sox and sound machines will help with regulating students who struggle to play with those that don't need that support. Being confined inside is difficult and we hope to alleviate some of those sensory issues that can affect students and staff.

Because of medical issues, my stars can't go outside in the cold, windy Nebraska weather. We are searching for new exciting activities that we can use to keep them busy during this time. These activities need to be changed out often and we need more!
