My Students

Our school is located in Waikiki where many people new to Hawaii will reside. We have students who come from many parts of the world and speaking over 30 different languages. We are a culturally diverse school with almost half of our students speaking another language besides English.

My students come to school so eager to learn the many subjects we teach daily and excited to experience these various subjects in all projects!

My classroom is a hetereogenous classroom that includes various types of learning styles.

My Project

My students deserve to have a classroom library including various genres to help promote literacy for curriculum use and for enjoyment. I have books for the classroom library and need colorful book bins to organize the books by genres and to also help attract students to visit the "Surfers Reading Corner".

The student will use the classroom library daily for their assignments, projects, book reports, quiet time reading, etc.

The colorful bins will make the classroom library an inviting place to visit and select their books. The classroom library will also help students to improve their Language Arts skills to become successful learners and and enjoy reading for life!
