Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is a small Title I school where many of my students qualify for the reduced-price or free lunch program. Many students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Most are English language learners, speaking English as their second language. My students come to school eager to learn every day and appreciate all of the donors who support our projects!
I teach a group of amazing second graders.
They come to school ready to learn, and I am in awe at what we accomplish with the limited resources that we have in our classroom.
My Project
Technology is changing before our eyes, and we need to prepare our students for jobs that do not exist yet. The Microsoft Surface Go would be an invaluable addition to our classroom.
By using the Microsoft Surface Go, my students will develop a sense of ownership of their learning while engaging in meaningful activities that promote learning.
The students will become tech savvy as they discover a wealth of resources that the Microsoft Surface Go has to offer.
Students will use the Microsoft Go to create collaborative projects, type reports and create presentations. The Microsoft Surface Go will help my students explore different ways to create engaging projects.
They will also engage in hands-on apps that will surely create hours of endless learning. My students will use the digital tools on the Microsoft Surface to think critically and use creativity on their projects. My students’ skill levels vary within my classroom, and with a touchscreen laptop, I will be able to give them access to different educational apps that meet their needs. The keyboard will transform the tablet into a laptop, and the case will protect the Surface Go for my on the go second graders. Please consider giving to our project. Thank you!
