In my class I strive daily to prepare my students for the world with not only knowledge, but to bestow upon them a zest and passion for lifelong learning. They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners. They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even if they don't know it yet.
They are budding ambassadors, world travelers, scientists, entrepreneurs, teachers.
They are our future and I want to give them a great start to their long, successful careers.
My students are taking Cornell Notes in their content classes, but notes do not need to be boring! Writing only words accesses only the auditory learner. I am hoping to change that by incorporating more of the visual arts in my class room. By using colored pencils and markers, the notes that students take and create will become less monotonous so learning can occur that accesses students multiple intelligences.
Students will use the colored pencils and markers to create examples for others to see in an attention getting manner that will allow for students to be more engaged in their learning.
