Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are part of a dual language program in a high-poverty school district. The program has been successful and continues to grow. My third-grade students are expected to read and write in English and Spanish.

My students' curiosity and willingness to learn everything is what motivates me to advocate for them.

My students desire to learn English and continue to persevere their native language is amazing. My students enjoy collaborating and using technology. They enjoy collaborating in all subject areas. My students are respectful and kind. Most importantly, they are risk-takers and enjoy learning with many hands-on activities.

My Project

For the past five or six years my ESL students have received used technology that usually last for one or two more years. This year with a growth in my class size I find the need to replace 4 generation 2, iPads. These iPads have worked well, but now the iPads, freeze, stop responding or run out of memory really fast.

If my students receive this donation, they will be excited and happy to use them for reading centers, math centers and google classroom assignments.

My students are English Language learners who learn through visuals and audio. These updated iPads will enhance my students language learning experience. They will be able to have good visuals for science and audio clips for reading.
