Approximately 75% of the students at our school receive free or reduced-priced lunch. Many are low-income, poverty, homeless, and we have a high number of military families. There is an amazing group of hard-working young adults in my class. They strive every day to do their best and succeed. Their goals and dreams are to achieve a high school diploma and go to college.
These students take any obstacle in their path head-on and don't let it slow them down.

My Project
My students are a group of amazing and hard working kids that do their best each day to reach their goals. My kids arrive to school early and stay late so sports practices, tutoring, band, and clubs which makes for a long day. Most of my students eat lunch early, so by the end of the day they are hungry again or when they get to school early and don't get breakfast. Have a variety of healthy snacks that my students can access will make a huge difference in their day. Healthy and happy kids learn much better, and if I can provide them with a snack to make a difference in their day, it's priceless. I am requesting a variety of healthy snacks such as fruit chips, baked chips, crackers, meat snacks, and granola bars. I don't want to see any of my students going hungry because they don't have access to a snack or don't have the money to purchase one. This project will touch the lives of so many students, which could help make their futures so much more brighter. Thank you for considering to support my students through this project.
