This is my 9th year teaching at our school, and every year my scholars amaze me with their dedication, insight, humor, and desire to know more! This year's 8th graders are no exception. I love that they come to school with questions about the world around them, and they are ready to work with me and one another to explore the answers.
The science classroom is a place where scholars are safe to ask questions, share ideas, and explore the world around them.
It's through their questions and investigations that they learn about physics, chemistry, genetics, and the environment. In our science classroom the learning doesn't end there. It's important that scholars see how science can be used to enhance their everyday lives.
My Project
My scholars love to use technology as they explore science all around them. My classroom has a small set of iPads that scholars use throughout the year for a variety of learning experiences. The addition of an iPad charging and storage station will help to keep these items in good condition and ready to be used.
My scholars need a place to learn and grow, germs do not!
Funding of this project will also bring a variety of cleaning products into the classroom. Clorox wipes, EcoMoist screen cleaner, and a rechargeable keyboard cleaner will all be used to ensure my scholars can continue using technology throughout the year without the concern of germs being part of that experience.
