My students need English Language support games and materials. They also need areas with comfy floor seats (flexible seating) that support their individual learning styles. A laminating machine is needed for student created portfolios.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My fifth grade ESL students are amazing! They are inquisitive, determined, and extremely caring. They follow the star student expectations and the belief that they can all succeed, even with their daily language challenges. Many of my students live in poverty and struggle with providing the basic school supplies. They have parents that work, usually two jobs, and try their best to provide everything they may need to be successful. Along with the financial challenges, language barriers, and stress from parent work schedules, my students carry positive attitudes and have caring hearts. They want to learn and they want to be successful.
My Project
This project supports ELL students with comfy floor seats, Non-fiction and fiction paired reading sets, ELL games, and a close reading kit for differentiated instruction. A laminating machine will preserve student work for individual student portfolios. A clean working environment benefits learners so the Clorox wipes will help students stay healthy and desks to remain clean and functional. I have found that students respond better in an academic setting that is clean, organized and tailored to each student's specific needs.
Individualizing learning increases results!
Small group instruction, differentiated materials and support creates a safe learning environment for all students. This makes learning comfortable and develops a sense of ownership for all students.
