Welcome to my 5th grade classroom of diverse learners!

My students are a diverse group of students from many different cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and learning levels. Many of my students are bilingual. There are a variety of different languages represented in my classroom. Over 50% of my students speak English as a second language. My students are hardworking and have a desire to learn. My students learn best when they are engaged in the learning process. It is my mission to reach all students and give them opportunities to thrive. My students are currently learning remotely. We are working to try to give the students the best possible learning experience we can, as we navigate this new and unexpected way of learning!

My Project

I am requesting Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards to purchase materials for digital learning. In addition to benefiting digital learning, these resources can also be used in the regular classroom. Therefore; the materials will positively impact a greater number of students. Since the materials can be used with future classes, it means the impact of the resources will be even greater! These materials will allow me to select activities that will help my students learn and grow. I can choose activities that are both engaging and rigorous. The gift cards will allow me to select learning materials for all subjects such as math, reading, science, social studies, and writing.
