This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are working towards developing their technical skills while learning history. Their tenacity and willingness to try new things while also learning the necessary skills for success emphasis their commitment to having a successful future beyond high school. The majority of my students are seniors and will be moving forward to college and career after my class. They deserve experience with technologies so that they can return to our community and create opportunities for change and growth in our City.

My Project

As a teacher who has been teaching with technology for 6+ years, I am constantly looking for ways to improve. After transitioning from paper to blended learning participation and student learner outcomes have increased exponentially in all my classes. Students leave my class with not only content knowledge, but with the necessary digital literacy to support their college and career goals. However, I would like to learn new skills and ideas for students to interact with the content I teach them while improving student engagement. Also, I will use the skills I learn to support other teachers in integrating technology in their core classes.
