This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach third and fourth grade math and Spanish in Detroit. Our school is a place where students take a world language from kindergarten through eighth grade. My students love learning Spanish and math and will use these resources in both classes.
My Project
Students will be able to reference the Spanish-English dictionaries to support classroom activities and projects and to strengthen their own curiosity about the Spanish language. Students will build dictionary skills as they learn how to look up words and can build student-led learning in the classroom as they have access to look up words on their own.
The colored pencils will support artistic creativity in our Spanish learning and will be a resource for students who do not have their own coloring materials.
Illustrating vocabulary words helps students develop fluency as visual learners have both auditory and visual representation.
