Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are just amazing! We are a Title 1 school and all of our kids come from different backgrounds. They really enjoy to be at school and to learn. That's why we, the staff, do everything that is possible to give these kids and their families all the support they need! This year I will have two groups of 35 students each. I want to try flexible seating, I understand this will help a lot in the classroom environment. I think my students will need some space and areas to take a break. With the resources I added to this project, I'm pretty sure my classroom will have everything my kids will need.
My Project
My students love to learn in a place in where they feel comfortable. There will be 35 students in the classroom this year and I think with flexible seating they will feel more comfortable. Also, to be in a classroom with 34 more kids like you can be a challenge, that's why I'm bringing a calming area to the classroom, in where kids can take a few minutes to breathe. All these resources will help me to make our classroom environment an amazing place for them.
Also, I will be teaching them an amazing language, Spanish.
There are not many resources that I can use to support this. I want to try the Ahora magazines, a great resource that teaches them a lot of topics of interest. I would like to get this subscription but it is expensive. Specially if you want copies for each student.
This is my first project and I know my students will appreciate the help anybody can give.
