This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Please help me to enrich my students' experiences in Algebra with some hands-on activities. Competing with the appeal of TikTok and social media can be difficult, but I am excited to include more movement, games, and social interaction to engage my students in the world of equations, functions, and real-world problems! One example is a function relay race in which students work in teams through successive tasks located around this room. The laminator sheets, colored paper, and whiteboards will be essential for such activities. Also, the buzzers will add some joy to our team competitions.

Many of the materials I've requested will support student learning and engagement, the rest are dedicated to social-emotional wellness, which is equally important for adolescents.

These materials include conversation cubes and cards, fidget toys and stress balls, and games. My intention is to lead dedicated activities to foster connection and social wellness. Lately, many students seem to need support building relationships with classmates. By providing materials and resources, you'll help my students develop their coping skills and emotional well-being!
