Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We’re a family. We are a Title I school with many English Learners. Shifting to distance learning in the spring was a challenge for everyone, but it was even more challenging for students with limited resources at home. Teachers and staff worked tirelessly to ensure that students’ basic needs were met and that they had the resources to access their online classes. Once they had the resources they needed, the students resumed the hard work that we typically see from them in the classroom.

As we continue with distance learning this fall, we want to provide our students and teachers with a wider variety of educational activities, but this means they need additional resources.

My Project

Students will be using the sketch books to create their master pieces throughout the school year. The sketch books will give them a place to keep all of their drawing while we are virtually learning. These materials will make a difference for our students because we are a Title 1 school and many of our students are on free and reduced lunch, so it will minimize the cost for them with us being out of the building. The students will have a book they can keep forever with your help!
