Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I currently teach at one of the lowest socio-economic schools in New England, where all of my students receive multiple supports and free meals. My students are excited to learn! They come in with big beautiful smiles, yearning for love, knowledge, and a safe, organized environment.
My students give their all each and every day.
They come to school with smiles on their faces, ready to dive into their education. They love reading, writing, math, social studies, and science. Their enthusiasm is contagious and heartwarming.
My Project
My students come from a very low socioeconomic area of the city. Their families struggle to have the supplies needed to help them be successful in school. However with this gift they will be able to grow and reach their potential
These students reach for the stars everyday.
These supplies would allow them to take their ideas and put them to paper. Allowing students to work with materials that they otherwise would not be able to use.
With a mixture of supplies to color with my students will learn to take turns and grow their positive attitudes while working hard and learning. Their pictures will be more detailed and students will develop a sense of pride with all their work.
