The students that I have this year are mostly of the honors level in Algebra II and Physics. I want to be able to challenge them "outside of the box" so to speak, and have them be successful in every endeavor of their lives. Most of the area around us is in poverty, so this gives the students hope to be successful when teachers challenge them. My students are my success story and I believe in each and every one of them!
My Project
Because of the poverty in the area and the difficulty it is for students to supply their needs for my mathematics classroom, I want to be able to restock my supply for them. I did this two years ago and have just emptied out my supply closet that supplies their needs for my mathematics classroom! Their success is my top priority and to be able to help provide them with their needs is very rewarding. I've been building this program for three years and now the students are interested in competing mathematically statewide and nationally. Their excitement keeps me going! I love my students!
