Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach at a Title I school where 100 percent of my students receive a free lunch. Although many of my students do not have the best home life, they come to school hoping to create a better life for themselves and their families. They are a positive group of individuals who use their learning opportunities to better themselves and their future aspirations.
Because many of my students are more concerned about helping provide for their families, they do not always have the money for basic school supplies.
My Project
In order to be successful, students need to know that someone cares about them and is invested in their future!
Many of my students are too worried about helping pay bills to worry about basic school supplies!
That's where you can help. By helping to supply the must haves for my students, you can show them that someone cares about their success and their education.
My students need these supplies to enhance their learning. They need paper to explore essay writing, highlighters to emphasize important information, and art supplies to make visual aids and projects to help solidify their learning.
