Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 3rd graders are a wonderfully diverse group of learners that come to school with big smiles and eager attitudes. Working in a Title I school means that most of my students are considered economically disadvantaged or at-risk which makes their academic success imperative. My students learn best when they are engaged and having fun.
They get excited when they explore math and science concepts, and how the concepts can be applied to real life!
My students are the epitome of hard work and potential.
My Project
The Post It paper, Crayons, and Dry Erase Markers for each individual child would be ideal for fostering a cooperative classroom environment where EVERY child has supplies. The Jumbo Wall Calendar will teach students about time management and project deadlines, while the hanging folders and files will provide each student with their own individual place to file assignments.
My students work on many math and science projects together in small groups, and I would like to provide them with the resources to collaborate and create.
By starting the year off organized and with the correct supplies, my students will be in the best mindset to learn.
