This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have a highly intelligent class that comes from a very poverty-stricken area. Given the right tools, they could become successful lifelong learners. My students become just like my own kids as they join my classroom. We are truly a family that works together, and we help one another when someone doesn't understand.
All of my students have been tested and are in the highly intelligent gifted classroom.
Right now we are in the process of building a classroom. Until now, my students and I have had to share classrooms, computer labs and more. We have never had a space of our own. We were just given a classroom, and we are in the process of finding equipment and materials to build our classroom.
These kids are amazing and deserve the very best that life has to offer. I want to build a classroom that allows them the opportunities that they so clearly deserve.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door!
The laminating pouches will help to protect student artwork.
The cardstock paper is for them to use in their art center. My students don't have access to a lot of materials, so I am purchasing them all journals to use. The tape will be used to hang artwork, and the plastic bin will be used to store their work. Thank you so much for taking out the time to donate to our project!
