Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This August will be my first year teaching 3rd grade and I am so excited already! Third grade is a real challenge because it is the first year students take state assessments and I am ready to work hard with my students and take on the challenge. I look forward to lots of learning, laughing and growing together. I can't wait to meet them!
I work at a Title I school where 95% of our students are economically disadvantaged.
With your help I can provide them the resources they need to be successful and confident.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go and how it will be used. We just need your help in getting everything through our classroom door! The colored duct tape will be used to organize and label student's journals and folders for easy access. The clear tape will be used to display their proud work in the hallway and classroom. The clipboards will be used to make writing easy to do anywhere in the classroom. The markers will be the perfect tool for creating anchor charts and the book rings and magnetic hooks to display them in the classroom to help my students be successful learners.

Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material, and not whether we have the materials we need or if they are going to work.
