Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As the 2018-2019 school year has begun, I am filled with excitement and anticipation for what's to come. This is my first year teaching 5th grade and I am so impressed by my children already. They work so hard and are very determined individuals who don't give up easily.
I work at a Title I school where 95% of our students are economically disadvantaged.
With your help I can provide them the resources they need to be successful and confident.
My Project
There are many materials that if they are needed or wanted the teacher is responsible for purchasing them. These supplies such as permanent markers, privacy boards and tape may seem of little to no importance but they are used regularly in our classroom. My students' work is proudly displayed in the hallways using tape, our materials are labeled with markers and we currently test weekly using left over binders as privacy covers.
