Celebrate Black Teachers and Students
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students attend a Title I school in Pennsylvania, and all receive free or reduced-price lunch and breakfast. They attend a typical, inner-city school. Most face serious obstacles before they even walk through the doors in the morning. Our goal is to make our school a safe and loving environment.
Our students come from diverse backgrounds and different countries. This makes our school pretty special in so many ways. The students all work so hard and are very deserving of this project.
My Project
My students are by far the best kids on the planet, who love to do little craft projects to make our room a more beautiful place. We will use these supplies to decorate our notebooks and binders. We will use paper, string and pens to make things beautiful. We will use these supplies to do foldable in math class and even to make posters for our classroom. We need items like highlighters and pens to make posters that displays the work we do in our everyday class. My students don’t always have access to their own supplies, so a class set would be great.
