Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

As a teacher in a low-income school district, my students are faced with many challenges in and out of school. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to make their experience at school fun, educational, creative, interactive, and meaningful.

My students are awesome!

They love coming to school. However, I would love to make their school environment comfortable with the basic supplies that we need. Each year I’m spending money out of pocket to make sure my students have basic supplies. I want our classroom to feel like home to “OWL” my students without the stress of not having the basic supplies.

My Project

Every year, I spend my own money to make sure all of my students have the supplies needed to have a successful year. The supplies requested will take the stress off the parents, students, and myself. My students have many issues and I don’t want the lack of supplies being one of them. Students should come to class ready to learn. With the cleaning supplies, we will know that our classroom is clean and germ-free! My students are from a low-income community and the supplies will help out tremendously. Thank you in advance for helping support my classroom and students, we will be forever grateful.
