I teach approximately 140 6th and 7th grade students per day, from very diverse cultures, and I want to keep ALL of them fully engaged and equipped to learn.
My students are very enthusiastic learners who enjoy learning about our natural world, and the more I teach them, the more they want to know!
Most of our best moments in science don't come from the textbook. They come from hands-on activities, and from discussions about their experiences and their burning curiosities!
My Project
Interactive Science Notebooks are a fantastic way to engage students in learning while helping them learn important organizational skills. These notebooks allow students to not only record important information that they learn, but they also allow them to reflect on their learning and express their creativity to enhance the learning.
Interactive Science Notebooks work best when every student is maintaining their notebook in unison with the instructor and their classmates.
Unfortunately, for various reasons, sometimes students are unable to obtain the necessary supplies, and this leaves them falling (and feeling) behind.
I hope to provide all of my students their very own notebook to get their ISN off to a super start!
