Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My special education students are witty and creative, full of personality and unique talents, and raring to go every morning. They head out to recess at full speed. They love being a part of our school.
Our school is the center of their world, the only stability they know, and the only place where being different is okay.
My students live in areas of concentrated poverty. Many are raised by someone other than a parent. For some, the only meals they have on a consistent basis are at school. Nearly all of them are "different thinkers" having differences such as ADHD, sensory processing issues, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and so on.
My Project
The supplies in this project will be utilized by my students. The student in my classroom think outside the box and learn in ways that supplies are limited. The material in this project will allow my students to work and keep reaching farther in their education than they thought they could.
The supplies will give my students the opportunity to shoot for the stars and work to meet their goals.
The boards, markers, paper, and post its will be used to inspire my students to reach for the stars. The boards, markers, and erasers will be utilized as interactive times in the classroom to keep pushing their selves to greatness. The post it will be used to make goals and monitor the progress they are making, along with used as tools to help with questions.
My students need to be pushed and have the opportunity to learn in the environment that fits them best. Thank you for your time and support.
