My students need the experiences and materials that enrich their lives in a positive way. We have been out of school since Mid March. We were able to assign materials for learning at home and paper packets. I believe as a kindergarten teacher at a high-risk school that all children deserve these experiences.
Many children in my classroom are low income and have few experiences to explore outside of their small town.
Some of my students in my classroom do not have books at home and many other basic necessities. Some of my students are ESL students and are learning English for the first time. It is very important for my students to have a wealth of resources in order to be successful. Many children in our community do not have access to computers to be able to work at home.
My Project
I am asking for pencils, crayons, markers, paper, books, dry erase markers, and other basic supplies for my students to use at home during the COVID-19 school closure.
Many of my students rely on school for school supplies and other resources needed to learn.
These supplies will help them read, spell, write, count, add, subtract, and create while learning at home. My students will become better in all academic areas by having these supplies easily accessible to them during this time. The supplies will help keep my students from falling behind during the COVID -19 school closures.
