This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Learning and applying different techniques and methods for the treatment and prevention of sports injuries are important to getting real-world experience within the sports medicine classroom.

From treatment to the professional bedside manner, the skills that these students learn and apply during class and in the sports environment are key to their success beyond the classroom.

In the last year and a half, it became more challenging to learn these important skills without having the proper supplies in the hands of the students to practice. This impact created by COVID is still being felt with the need to make up learning and a lack of training aids and supplies in the classroom.

The addition of these supplies will increase the my students' learning experience of critical life saving skills without having to keep students waiting to share limited supplies. Funding this project will allow all students in the class the opportunity to also expand their hands-on experience in learning different sports medicine techniques. Your donation will also create a butterfly effect in that you will also affect the lives of countless individuals they may treat with these skills.
