This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are from the inner city of Milwaukee, one of Wisconsin's most poverty stricken cities. All of my students are special education students whose disabilities range from intellectual to emotional behavior disorders. My students are all in the General Education classrooms, which means they need extra support from me in order to progress along with their peers. My students come to school daily ready to learn and try new things, no matter the obstacles in their way. My students are the most inspiring little people I know!
My Project
These supplies that I am asking for, for my students will be very beneficial to their virtual learning experience. My students don't have the supplies that they need to participate in math, reading, and writing. It is the middle of the school year and the students are out of pencils and paper. I don't have the funds to go out and buy the supplies for my students.
Help me keep the cameras on during math class, the students enjoy showing their work.
When the students can't find a pencil or paper they will turn off their cameras and stop participating. The whiteboards and dry erase markers will give students a chance to participate and show their understanding of the lesson being taught. Thank you for your support.
