Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students at my school are eager to learn and grow and work collaboratively to build a community.
My students attend a high poverty school in which all of the students qualify for free lunch.
My students are eager learners despite some of the difficult challenges they face on a daily basis. Most of my students are fascinated by the world of science and love to explore and watch as things grow, change, adapt, and evolve.
One of our students' favorite parts of the day is our Morning Meeting time where we spend time together building community and learning how to get along, work together, and become family at school.
My Project
We need some basic materials to help us continue with our alphabet centers. We need the whiteboards and whiteboard markers to continue practicing learning how to write the letters in the alphabet, and we need the glue sticks for our alphabet crafts that we make with each letter.
Because we are at a low-income school, as the teacher I provided ALL of the materials we needed to start the school year, but we are quickly running out of whiteboard markers and glue sticks because we have been doing so much hard work and practice!
The materials requested in this project would really help keep us on track with our alphabet learning!
