Help me give my students basic supplies like binders, sheet protectors, pencils, and Clorox wipes so that we can make it through until the end of the year!
As a teacher in a low-income, high poverty school district, I recognize that my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
I want to introduce my students to a Science experience that will bring about a better understanding of what Science is.
Many of my students have a lot to deal with at home and school is not their largest priority so making sure that their education is meaningful is a high priority of mine. The majority of my students are living at or below the poverty line but this doesn’t stop them from being the hardest working group of students around. My students want to learn and it is my job to ensure that they are given every opportunity!
My Project
These supplies are the basic supplies that make learning easier and successful. Through this project I will be able to print out the necessary papers needed for class. This would include for instruction as well as for parent needs. Also having pencils makes learning more successful. If I am able to supply pencils to students they will be more confident as they are not constantly having to ask for various supplies.
All of these materials will help to show students that learning can take place in all kinds of different ways.
Lysol wipes are essential in a classroom. Especially this time a year when sickness is beginning to spread through our schools. This will help keep students healthy and not missing instruction. Lastly binders help keep students organized. They will know where their work is at and will not constantly be looking for it.
