This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have a mix class of booming 4 and 5 year olds. My students are full of energy and ready to learn. Our learning community is focus on embracing each other regardless of our background.
All my students represents low income families, yet they are striving to become better citizens.
As we move forward into the new year, we are embracing every educational moment and using it to gear us towards a better tomorrow. Our future begins with them and my babies are blooming!
My Project
My students are in need of supplies. We have embarked on a new school year and our supplies are low. To express our creativity and explore our growing world, we are in need of jumbo crayons, colored pencils, notebooks, construction paper, glue sticks, and assorted art supplies. We are also requesting the "hear myself phone". The supplies will help us explore our creative side by introducing us to various writing tools and paper. The "hear my self phone" will be used to help build phonic awareness and correct pronunciation of words.
Our school has gone through major changes in the past six months.
In order to fully engage my students in various learning centers and activities, we need supplies. The supplies listed above will contribute to the development of listening skills, language skills, fine motor skills and increase academic skills. We are exposing our students to name writing, forming sentences, developing stronger readers and having them express themselves through oral and written language.
Our students will prosper and grow with these materials. The supplies are greatly needed and will be essential to our developing class community.
