This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students live in a low income area. My students are intelligent, devoted, and determined to better themselves. I have watched my students grow year to year because of determination, support, and love that they receive at home, as well as in school. I am one of their biggest fans. My students need to know that others believe in them. When my students witness the kindness of others, it helps them be kind to each other as well as to other adult figures that impact their lives.
My Project
The markers, pencils, and crayons will help my students express themselves through their writing, illustrations, and love of learning. My students will be able to bring their writing to life by bringing color to their creations. They will be able to express themselves through their learning. Furthermore, they will be able to come to school knowing they have all the supplies they need to be success. My students will be able to concentrate on their work instead of worrying if they have pencils, markers, and crayons to complete their work. My students will know how much their success means not only to them, but to those who helped make that success possible.
