Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a Title I school where our students face struggles daily and we try our best to provide them with the best and most that we can. My students are second graders who are typically eager learners but at this time of the year, they are still trying to transition into this new grade.
I truly believe my students hold so much promise in fulfilling their potential and as their teacher, I am excited about molding them in the right direction.
I have noticed they are an eclectic group of little humans who are eager to become future leaders, creators, artists, and innovators. I am excited about building a positive learning environment for my students.
My Project
This project is to get basic classroom supplies for my new 2nd graders for the students to use when they return in October.
They will use the supplies across the curriculum in reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and health.
Such basic supplies as markers, crayons, and pencils are sometimes impossible to acquire from each and every student.
I am attempting to collect necessary school supplies in order to minimize the burden placed upon my students' families.
