My Students

We design and build all sorts of tools, so that we can see math in action. We test math principals, and then we understand. We need materials to build fun math projects. I want my students to see, feel and measure! With these tools, math will become concrete and not abstract!

I have students who really struggle with math.

They come from all socioeconomic levels, as well as degrees of parental involvement. Many of my students have all the best money can buy, but the others suffer from a lack of supplies. These students are unable to bring in supplies, and my school will not provide them.

My Project

Giving students hands-on materials for graphing, measuring, calculating and doing geometry will truly help them succeed. They we be able to be creative and own the individuality of their projects. This donation will allow all of my students, not just the privileged few, to benefit from the vast resources available.

Abstract concepts are so difficult for middle school students.

If they can't feel it, they don't get it. We need hands on math materials so we can all see the great things math can do! They need to be able to see and manipulate in order to understand.
