I have 20 young eager minds who come to school every day with a smile on their faces and strong work ethic. They work together to make ensure that all of them excel academically.
I teach wonderful, talented, low-income students who love to learn.
They are excited to come to school every day to sharpen their minds. My class is loving and caring. They each want the best for each other. It is heart warming to witness. They respect each other.
My Project
In my classroom we use a variety of supplies on a daily basis. Students use and lose glue daily. They use crayons, markers, and colored pencils to complete work in reader's workshop every day.
My students live a low income area, and getting school supplies to help them express their creative minds will benefit them greatly.
We also enjoy making crafts to enhance our learning in all aspects of the curriculum. They enjoy creating the phases of the moon, maps, place value robots, sequencing activities, and holiday crafts. My students love to do anything that involves cutting and gluing as well. Glue is a very important aspect in a first grader's life.
During Reader's Workshop my students use a host of art materials to complete their assignments like colored pencils, markers, crayons, and pens. With that being said, our supplies are in need of replenishment which is why I have asked for those materials mentioned. I would like to incorporate the use of alphabet stamps into their word study section of Reader's Workshop as well.
All of these supplies will help our class out tremendously now and in the future.
