Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This is my first year teaching, and I am so exited to get to know my students! This year I have the opportunity to work with Pre-K, and I couldn’t be any happier. I love working with the younger children because they are so full of life and eager to learn. Since most of my students have not been in school before, I have the chance to instill the love of learning in them. I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us!
My Project
My wonderful students need everyday classroom supplies. We go through a lot of these supplies pretty frequently. We use construction paper for all of our cool art projects we make. Since my students are still learning how to write, we use Expo markers to practice writing our letters. My students love practicing how to write their name the most. We use our journals for all sorts of things like practicing our names, drawing pictures, and for telling a story. I currently have some students in my class with special needs, and they learn best with visuals. These vibrant colors of paper will help enhance my lessons and keep them engaged.
