Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Give this project a boost!
A chain reaction of support starts with one share.
The second half of the school year has begun, and my students are ready for it! My students are still eager to learn and come to school happy every day. To keep them motivated and the learning going, we are in need of some snacks and supplies.
Snacks keep students energized and motivated throughout the school day.
Having a variety of snacks available to them such as chips and Rice Krispy Treats ensures they don't have a growling stomach until lunchtime. They help them remain focused on their work. Candies and sensory items such as stress balls and slime help motivate my students to earn points for our class incentives. They inspire students to stay on task, participate, and complete assignments. Knowing they have the potential to earn a small treat keeps them happy and on track!
Supplies like printer ink and Sharpies are essential in the classroom. Right now, my students are typing up documents on California's 4 regions. They are inserting images and working on writing a multi-paragraph paper. Once finished, they will print out their work, and it will be shared on our bulletin boards. We definitely need ink for our printer to make this happen. The Sharpies will be used to decorate maps they are making of California.
Lastly, my students use Power Pens to practice multiplication and division fact memorization. The pens each use 2 batteries. We need batteries so everyone can continue practicing math skills that will help them as they work with multi-digit numbers during the year.
