My Students

I teach Social Studies on a literacy platform to fourth and fifth grade. My classroom has students of all ability levels from learning support to gifted. Our school is a large, urban kindergarten through eighth-grade school with a large population of students with special needs, ADHD and other health impairments.

All of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.

The students have diverse backgrounds and various family situations. Some of my students have special needs that impede their learning on a daily basis. Unfortunately, these struggles prove to be too much for them. They get frustrated, and they lack the motivation for learning.

My Project

Once we get to return to our normal routine, my students will need a case of copy paper. The paper will be used to print out all of their work and projects. The markers will be used for writing on our white boards. They can also be used for decorating their projects. The stacking paper holders will allow my students to stay organized. Each tier will be used for the daily assignments. One holder will be for grade 4, one for grade 5 and one for any child absent that day. The pencils will be needed for daily assignments.
